Capitol Federal® Provides Thanksgiving Meals to Local Families
November 22, 2017

In the spirit of the giving season, Capitol Federal® embraced their local community by supplying traditional Thanksgiving meals to more than 225 families across Kansas.  In Topeka, a total of 50 meals were packaged and delivered to area families by CapFed® employee volunteers.

Kendall Ducksworth, Branch Manager of the 2865 SW Wanamaker CapFed branch, said, “Thanksgiving reminds me of family.  It is one of the few times each year that loved ones come in from all over the country to celebrate the holidays together.  Our True Blue® employees enjoy giving back to the communities in which we serve, and our Thanksgiving meal delivery has become an annual tradition they look forward to each year.”

Thank you to Dillons for providing this year’s holiday dinners. Turkey, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing and dessert were included in every feast. The 50 meals were delivered to Topeka households with the help of Let’s Help and a grant given by the Capitol Federal® Foundation.
